Organizing and executing beach and coastal cleanups in the Galway community. Scheduled 10 cleanups and removed nearly 200 bags of rubbish from the environment in and around Galway mainly from beaches and coastal areas. Organizing items to distribute to the houseless population in Calgary including warm clothes, food, and supplies. Performing direct outreach to individuals who need these items to stay warm over the cold Calgary winters and to sustain them as they seek to improve their situation. Organizing clothing fundraisers at local businesses to contribute more goods to those in need. Additional volunteer work completed at the Calgary Drop In & Rehab Centre Society including serving dinner and preparing lunches for a large group of homeless on several different occasions.
Calgary Climate Hub
Produced web series communicating current climate issues in Alberta and interviewed climate leaders to increase the reach of core messages. The main goal is to educate and empower Calgarians to advance genuine grassroots climate action.
Startup Calgary
I have participated in planning and organizing various Startup Calgary events as well as creating promotional videos and photography work. Calgary Food Bank
Distributed flyers and collected food in a city wide food drive. On separate occasions volunteered handing out hampers onsite at the Food Bank to those in need. Operation Christmas Child was another volunteer day where we helped organize Christmas boxes for children across the world.
